Why did Tesla develop the Tesla coil?

Tesla did not develop the Tesla Coil, but the Tesla science and technology itself wanted to develop it. However, the glory of the Tesla coil is only for a period. Later, variants of the Tesla Coil were developed, in order to hide the true nature of Tesla technology. For example, small-scale Tesla coils sold on the market do not use spark gap, but instead use square pulse generator (replacing spark gap - containing Plasma). Although the small-scale Tesla coil is still active, it will not generate free energy.

What is the use of the Tesla Coil in this day and age?

1. In Tesla coils, including resonant transformer, inductor, capacitor, secondary coil, and spark gap, and according to Tesla, with this system, can create any frequency of electric oscillation. This is the foundation for the development of Radio technology. To this day, it is still the cornerstone of the theory of wireless technology.
